pros
-----
- modular design makes them easy to repair
- the dual beadlock ones are a cinch to change tires
- look sweet arse
- supposedly are very tough

cons
-----
- expensive
- the only problem i've seen or heard on these is that they can chip in rocky sections, but no worse than an aluminum rim would get dinged or flat-spotted

i would imagine they would work well for desert racing. the only terrain i wouldn't use them would be "rough" woods riding with tons of bad rocks and other crap.
