400ex carb

[Honda TRX250ex]

Is a 400ex carb worth the 70 bucks and my time to figure out the right jetting on a 250x. How much power does it acutally give you?

i think 70 bucks is pretty pricey, in my opinion.. ive seen them go for as low as a couple bucks on ebay.. as far as jetting, it can be a nightmare depending on how close you start off to the right jetting and how patient you are.. i put a 400 carb on a 300ex and i think it was worth it.. and it was free ! good luck:devil:

i just got one for my 250x for $55.00 and it came with a dynojet jet kit

i got it jet right 1st try

im running 148 main
with no airbox stock exhaust

the biggest reason i bought it was because my old 20 year old one was shot
not because of the power gain (which is very small)
