i have a trx 250r and was wondering what the max sizes were in the ama sanctioned races, or atva, whatever it is. i know they let the 4-strokes run a 440 but is the limit 250cc for the 2-strokes or can ya go a little bigger like a 265 or 310? thanx

I'm sure you can go 265 cuz most of the guys are runnin 265 powervalve's. In the 250 pro-am you can run up to 440cc

but that 440 is for a 4-stroke not a 2-stroke. if they allow a 265 do they allow a 310 or 330?

The limit for 2 Stroke is 265 unless in a Open Class.

What kind of Powervalve did you get? We found out with my Brother`s 250r Motor when you give it a lot more Power the Gears and all that stuff has to be replaced because his Gears shot and screwed up the whole Tranny and other stuff in the Bottom End.

I don`t remember the Chat Link. If I were you I would get a Sparks or Duncan Powervalve. Sparks rips it up.

but psi is only a hop skip and a jump from where i live if i have a prob i can drive there and take care of it. and they seem solid and reliable from what i understand, im looking for reliability more than the hp.
