I have an aftermarket K&N air filter. I'd like to get the K&N Powerlid becuase it looks like a good upgrade. Does anyone have good experience with this lid? Also, is it a good idea to remove the snorkel from powerlid equipped ATV? I have found something called the NAC's air box plug. <IMG SRC="https://secure3.nexternal.com/nacs/images/AirboxPlug.jpg"> This is what eliminates the snorkel. Any information on any of this would be great!

When i did my build this spring i put one on and left my snorkel on so that i can get air thru it and the lid. but you can definintly see the outerwear suck in when i hit the gas so i know it is getting it more air. I think it is definitley worth the money especially if you do any mudding or riding where theres water, I don't think it's worth taking the risk of having an open airbox. I really like it alot.

I think dirt wheels did a article over how its such a horrible waste of money. They said it may add little performance if any, and it showed to have the same progress results as a stock airbox lid with 3 small holes drilled in the center, and a small slice on eace side of the stock lid.. I would just drill the holes and save 100.00$$..

I love mine and insist that my DRG customers get one.

It saves a lot of aggravation with lids and the lid keeps the air filter cleaner longer.

fits 04-06

worth it for me.

istead of buying that plug just use a spray paint can lid.

I bought an outerwear and some velcro tape, made my own lid/filter.I cut an opening in the top of the lid and stretched the outerwear across.I also used some 3m adhesive,so far 6 months and still holding.:)

I love my K&N Powerlid. I blocked off my snorkel using a cap from a laundry detergent bottle. Fits nice and snug and works awesome. Just throw a sticker on it and your set!

I run a K&N Filter /w outerware, and K&N Powerlid with outerware.

I think its a great set up because now the air is filtered 4 times.
You will notice your air filter will stay cleaner longer. With the powerlid now ONLY filtered air enters the air box. Now your not just relying on your air filter to battle everything in the air, the powerlid filters the air first and then the air filter in the box filters it again. I think its a sweet set up.

Heres a picture of it, sorry about all the dirt. haha
