Well I got my LTR and realized it had to get smaller. I also wanted a taller stem so I got Burgard to make me that and a new swingarm.
Here is what he did.

Swing arm with better skid plate mounts.
I decided on the silvervein for the time being then the colors will be changing at the end of the season.

Last one for now.
I have not had the chance to ride this yet as I know the front is too stiff for now. Next on the list is new suspension.
I just picked this up from Burgard Cycle last night and will have all the new PRM goodies installed by next week.

So is Burgard finally making the swingarm the right way and spacing the carrier bolts far enough away from each other to get a socket on them? Is he still using SAE or did he use metric bolts on yours? Hope your powder coating holds up better than mine and a few others have.
Not bashing just trying to see if he has stepped up and made a better product than he did for the Z.

No problem on the questions. Like I said I just picked it up. The powdercoating looks in great shape so I guess that has improved. As for the SAE or metric. I will have to double check that tonight. From first impressions these look pretty good. I had a LTZ400 too and had Burgard products on that so I know what you are talking about.

I saw the need for something beefier in the way of swingarm protection for xc racing and asked if there was something we could do better. Living on the east coast all we have out here is rocks and more rocks. My concern with the stock set-up was the lack of mounting points for any skid plates. This swing arm ususes a modified LTZ400 skid plate and has 6 mounting points.

i bought the smallest prm skid and with 20 in tires this thing misses everything it goes over. i smashed a skid plate a trip when i ride so 3 skids on my 400ex. on the ltr i dont even have scratch on the identical 200 mile ride. this bike is also better with the width then i thought it improved my trail riding alot i prefer it to narrow so im not gonna change a thing except the shocks and maybe beefier arms

Curious, how much did that +1 stem run you? I'm a pretty tall guy and I think that would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Todd

You would have to call Burgard on the pricing 717-225-6234. I think it was around $200 for the stem and clamp, but I can't be sure as I just wrote a big check. I love the extra inch and I am a short guy.
As for narrowing it up. I rode mine in the woods and smashed into about everything not to mention when I am racing this I don't want to worry about the added width. I race in Dist 6 in PA the majority of the trails are way to narrow. The rear skid is more of a prevention measure and is only needed when flying through the rocks in the races. I thought it was over kill for the plate that was added, but the more I look at it and my exsisting plate the more I realized I am definitely gonna need it.
