Replacing my pads on the rear and cant get the piston to go back far enough ive tried c-clamps and anything else i can think of. The piston wont budge. They are EBC pads. Anyone else have this problem and know what i can do.

Vise grips and C-Clamp usually work for me... Just you'll have to do it pretty hard for it to go back. Just put a C-Clamp on the piston and twist that thing till its far enough back.

Where do you set the c-clamp on the back side of the caliper. theres really no space to get a good grip.

i had to take off the parking brake assembly to get the piston back far enough, anyone else have to do this? and also do you HAVE to use dot4 brake fluid? i only have dot3 and was just gonna use that. Thanks

yeah! be sure to loosen up your parking brake adjustment if it is still there. if it still won't budge, it may be frozen up, in which case, you'll have to use compressed air to push the piston out. put a rag in between the caliper and piston. keep your hand outta there!

I just put the C-Clamp on the bolt sticking out, thats before I got the block off though... And yes your supposed to use DOT 4

make sure to take the cap off your rear brake rezzy to release the pressure when your trying to push the piston back in
