kill switch question

ok. About a week ago i installed a kill switch on the 400ex. its been working perectly fine since we put it in. we wired it in to the old kill switch wires. not sure if thats how its supposed to be done or not but its been working just fine. yesterday while riding every time i would touch the kill switch and any other part at the same time i would get a nice shock. what coiuld be causing this???

The switch works by grounding out the ignition circuit. Unfortunately, the way you have it wired, you are becoming ground.

Check out this site. It's how I wired mine up, and it works great. Be sure to use quality splices, (preferably heat shrink type to keep out moisture).
