Can anyone tell me how much resistance you are suppose to have when you hook up a ohm meter to the stator coils on a 86 suzuki lt230 quad sport? I’m trying to get to the bottom of this no spark problem with out buying parts that I don’t need. I have already bypassed the stop switch and tried 2 cdi units on it. I also tried 2 different coils on it so I assume it has something to do with the stator assembly. When I removed the stator cover the previous owner didn’t use loc tight on the screws that hold the stator plate in place and the assembly stayed with the flywheel. There is some damage done to the smaller coil that I believe is for the spark. I just want to be able to test it and the lighting coil before I replace them.
I have other stator coils from a parts motor but would like to check them before I assemble it and find that the one that I replaced it with is no good
