I don't know we came out of the woods one night on an older 300cc Suz. KingQuad with 3 200lb+ guys and 2 deer (it might have been a touch bit overloaded:p )

Plus with a Rhino, it would be easier with health problems, and you could still race it. But I would be happy either way... This is what I would look like if I was you---:D

and your son has one hell of a hybrid to race MX with

You could always use them for a short bit... tear them apart.. do one of your fancy powdercoat jobs, and resell it as Pappy Signaure Series quads and buy a his & hers rhino's ;)

On a serious note, Kenny is not "Lucky" to get this. He has put in endless amounts of time for the last 4 years working for this site. Being a mod carries the same stress just as any job you could think of.

So considering the amount of time he has put in. He has earned anything he has recieved.

As for all the other quads he owns and has owned. im sure he has worked just as hard, even harder, to get to the point of affording all of these machines.

I think I will do what I can to snag him a LTR. All he asked was that we move the bars back and he felt he could ride it well.

The yfz is quick...and fun, but I dont think it feels as good out of the box as the LTR. I will wait for alot more seat time to level any type of opinions, but seeing the yfz has such a bad bog it has strikes against it in my book, all things being 100% bone stock etc.

1) She likes the LTR. Its smooth, handles nice but the rear likes to slide out.(Yep...there goes my grass:p )

2) The YFZ is FASSSSTTTTT:devil:

3) The Z400 felt like her 300ex:huh

4) If Harlen wants us to hang on to the LTR she will be sure to run it...alot

I let the quads get a good 20 minutes of nice varied riding before I decided to take the LTR for a spin.

Ok....some of my first impressions....


Its not a rocketship, but the power is mellow and usable. The throttle response is great, and not once did it act stupid if that makes sense.

I finally couldnt take it and hammered it coming out of a corner. It did everything i wanted it to do, infact i just pulled 2nd gear on my way to 3rd with some one finger clutch action. The clutch pull is light and smooth.

The quad is , well, predictable. Ive riden full aftermarket quads that should have been this easy to ride but werent. Not that its the end all and be all of what a quad should be....but I have to admit, I want one:p


The rear tires didnt do bad and hook up good in a straight line, and I honestly do not have any loose corners to see for myself, nor would I seeing I wanted to take it easy on this puppy until she is tested this week.

I wanted to see how fast she was on nice, steady pulls. She is decieving, fast but not arm ripping fast. I think the way suzuki set her up is pretty close for most riders that will try and keep everything stock.

And.....I also think that when narrowed up a bit it will be a fairly decent quad in the woods.

Brakes were good, on par with the YFZ and 450R. Infact....I almost ran over the pizza dude when he stepped out infront of me:p Thank god he did not drop my pizza:scary:


I look forward to riding one of these suckers again real soon. And I have more to say but I will save it for the upcoming shootout:chinese: and all out quad thrash session we have coming up.

I wont have the suki's with me this weekend, infact I will be leaving shortly to deliver them to my mechanic so he can go over them to check and recheck before the dyno and further testing.

I took the Z400 for a ride before we called it a night. I still cant figure out how Harlen does what he does on that quad in stock form.

It did however reinstill in me the fact that the Z400/400EX quad is still one of the best types to own, especially if your not worried about keeping up with the Jones's or all out racing where every bit of power is required. I commented to my brother and wife that I would enjoy having another 400cc sport quad simply because they are just so damn fun.
