yes there is a crack I slipped a steel rod in between the aluminum to reinforce it, and then sunk a few rivets in it. it held up for a long time. they are pretty used, but someone who really wants to save a few bucks, and is a little handy can make these work just fine. I was using them right up till i started my rebuild a month ago, and had them on for about 3 years.

yam...nerf are already spoken for, and plastics just so you no are missing some of the mounting points, but i was able to make them work with just a few wire ties, back are a ok.

An extra $5 is no problem. It doesn't make any difference who you ship them by (so long as it's not Pony Express). I just quoted UPS pricing because they are usually the most expensive and figured that it would cover anyone you choose to use. Don't pay extra to ship 3 day, CT is only 1 day ground from NJ anyway.
