My neighbor has the TC on his 04 450r and yeah it’s super loud. It is deff the loudest pipe I have ever herd on a 450. He lives about 6 houses down from me and when he is riding on the track behind his house it sounds like he is my back yard.

I nick named it the Thunder Canon because the sound echoes off the tree line around the track like thunder :P

Another kid that rides with us has a full HMF on his 450r and the TC is noticeably louder.
Also puts out noticeably more power then the HMF though.

If you don't mind noise and want the most power you can get out of pipe I'd say its for you =)

i wouldn't suggest buying one. they don't fit very good. the midpipe will either burn your platic or rub on your subframe. maybe both. the midpipe will also rust and sometimes get holes in them. also you have to drill a whole in the subframe to mount it. they are just a headache in more ways than one. now guys who love the tc's, don't bite my head off. this is just my feelings from what ive seen on other peoples bikes that ive worked on or rode with. i would suggest an hmf, dasa, rossier or a sparks. i know for a fact that all four of those bolt on in a few minutes and look and sound good for quite a while. and if your expecting a HUGE power gain from just a pipe, its not going to happen. most of the power is made in the head and the carb work.

oh and they get super hot, my friend is always complaining that his leg is on fire :P

Riding boots are pretty much required with the header on that thing.

all I did was notch a little hole out in my plastic with a dremel to kep it from burning through and you can also buy a heatshield for the headpipe,I dont have one,but im sure they would help out a little.only took me about 30 minutes to put mine on with drilling the hole in the subframe,so It's not that much of a hassle to put one of these pipes on.

heres one of mine,A little better view. It's really nothing major when you go to drill the hole, dont even need to have a huge hole either

Loud pipes save lives! NOT! Loud pipes are just loud and make people that arent into the sport call the Police. This only reduces the opportunities for everyone to ride. Some people in my town were just told to got rid of their track and not to ride anymore, because people complained about the noise. Even though nobody lived around there when they built the track. It is not fair, but if we are not smart about things, we wont have anywhere to ride. That and pretty soon there will be restricted decibel levels on all race tracks. Just something to consider.
