View Full Version : Air Box Filter

I'm running a K&N and outerwear to go along with the HRC kit on my 06. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a air box lid/filter. I've seen the outerwear velcro set up but it seems kind of cheasy. Any one have any suggestions or recomendations for a little added protection.

You can buy the parts or buy it hole thing put together, and it works great too.. I got the hole cover so I can use the old one for washing my bike down...

i have an ehs lid too, looks and fits great and does a good job for protection. pro-tec also makes one, don't know much about it, but it's another option

I also have the ehs lid it looks good and it is clean and easy to work with...

How does the EHS lid work compared to no lid at all. I'm looking for some secondary protection from sand but not at the expense of drastically reducing airflow.

i have the airbox outerwear and i really like it. i ride mostly sand, and i can definately tell the difference in the amount of sand that gets into my airbox. i also like it b/c it doesnt restrict your air, like the K&N one does... i definately would reccomend it...


while at the dunes i usually change my filter each day... i still do even with the airbox outerwear, cuz i figure if ive got multiple filters i might as well, but i could go a couple days without changing them now...

and I run these too.

Love them, but they are pricey. The good thing about these lids is that you dont need to clean your filter, just the lid
