Antifreeze over flow?

Hey do you have to run that little bottle in the back? that holds the anitfreeze, and to disconnect it do you just unplug it? i have seen that alot of the 250r's arnt running them.

no you do not have to run it, and in fact a lot of people like to direct that tube to the pipe, so if it does overheat you will see it easily...

come on guys i really need to know, i broke a bolt into my frame and now i cant get the over flow on unless its zip ties. Can some one please tell me how to either get the bolt out or if i have to run the stupid thing. And also how to disconect it?

thanks, so how do i disconnect it?

Can you use an "easy out" to get the bolt out? Why did it break off?

whats an easy out? and it broke out because i dont know why but like it was loose, and i tigtned it, not even alot and it broke :grr:

Theres no need at all for that bottle, most people don't even run them. Just take off the bottle, and the hose that runs to your radiator cap, and remove them. Then go to your local hardware store, and pick up a piece of black tubing that is long enough to run to the bottom of your frame, then just zip tie the hose along the frame till it reaches the bottom.

So does the r overflow work like a cars? If the radiator is a little low will suck coolant from the overflow to fill the radiator back up? If not i will probably elminate mine two

I use an overflow tank from a polaris predator. It's bolted right to the air scoops, and the tube just runs down about a foot and a half. The predator overflow bottles are cheap, about 13 dollars new.
