250r Headlights

Anyone have pictures of an 86-87 headlight and a 88-89 headlight? i know that the older in on the bars and the later is in the hood.

I just got a new hood for mine (88-89 style), and think the light i already have was for an 86. (came with some extra parts)

So i guess i need an 88-89 light if anyone has one.

cal-atv has the lights available, its not cheap, the 88/89 headlight looks alot better. I know the 86 light can be made to work in a 88/89, I don't know how though.

Thanks for the info. The headlight i found in my extra parts appears to be an 86. There is a 20:1 sticker on the top of it which leads me to believe it was not meant to be under the hood. It did not sit well in the 88 hood at all. Dealer was not sure if they are still available, but they told me 140 and change for the light, bulb, rubber and bolts. (supposed to call me back)

I guess the hunt continues. :(

I know cal-atv has them. they have alot of discontinued trx and atc 250r parts. I got some rare short track atc parts from them, they even still have new 85 and 86 atc-r frames, which is long gone.

i just put a 'new' headlight in my 89 , came out of some 125cc honda road bike , if i remember correct its 100mm x 160mm , fits great with a little shave around edges of hood and cost me equivelent of like $5 , and it was like new , check e bay or summat ;)
