She don't look too bad. It needs some TLC though. Clean that frame good, 00 steel wool the pipe, a arms, and any other chrome, polish those rims, bumper and nerfs, and it will look tons better.

some peeple actually RIDE there quads though... and honestly i hate polished aluminum, if i wanted chrome... well i dont like chrome either.

i really like this quad, no goofy lookin sticker kits, no 'yo homies bling' just clean and simple all over. though it does look like an 86...

im with zedicus...... chrome and polish is for the trailer queens... or sand rails... and true racer will know that stuff is just not nesicary for racing.... it all gets scratched up anyhow.

That's the funny thing about 250R's, so few people have actually seen all the different years that people can tell them it's one year and without the year id decal most people won't know.

I'm guessing it has to be an 87 otherwise it's an 87 motor in an 89 frame possibly. Looks good though. I always like them better with decals or graphics kits. The bare look isn't for me.

thats an 87 frame. you can tell by the front motor mounts and the grab bar.

Look at my quad, it's all shiny, and looks great. But ask any of my friends that I go ridin with I ride the hell outa that thing. Just because you ride it, and stuff with just get scratched anyway is no excuse to just let stay dirty. A couple hours of work and it would look so much better.

Joe - schweet ride bro'!

That is definitely an '87 frame because it has the '86 style peg mounts and '88-'89 front motor mounts.

Does the swingarm bolt go through the rear motor mount?
