anyone else have this problem

My 400ex is set up great, but i cant seem to get the holeshot it seems like it doesnt fire as fast as other do. the best i have seen is the z400. Maybe someone can help me out with this.........

have you checked your reaction time at the drag strip? what about gearing, tire pressure? all of those have a factor in a dead start?

I race XC and we start dead engine
tire pressure is good
everything is good its seems to take a second longer than others

Is the motor fully warmed up prior to the official start?

yeah i ride it around the parking lot then pull on the starting line. what i am thinking is i need a bigger pilot jet

if you don't think you are getting it to crank, you could find a battery that has more Cold Cranking Amps...;)
