View Full Version : Suzuki 450 or Kawi 450 engine in a quad

Hey im goin to be building a hybrid in the near future i was wandering what you guys think of building it using a kawi or zuki engine off a dirtbike.. i havent seen one built ever and i was wandering if anyone knows how they compare to a honda or yamaha..

If anyone knows pros or cons of these engine please post them

both would be good for a quad. Ive been looking into these motors also. The Suk is a 4 speed though I don't know how that would be in a quad chassis.

I think that you would want the 5-speed no matter which brand, and there seems to be more parts readily available for the honda and yamaha engine. I would go CRF myself.

any more info.. i was thinking about doing this as well.. how hard is it to get the crf in a 250r frame?

Hard, due to there not being much space for the engine, a 250r enigne is much smaller and lighter than a crf motor.
