The motor in either one of those bike will be more than a mildy modded 400ex if you can find one. I'd go with the zuki though.

do you want to buy it for me?? its alot cheaper and easier for me to put an engine in my quad now than spend 7 grand on a new quad

would probably be cheaper then building a hybrid, unless you already have all the parts just laying around...and a production bike will keep its value more than a hybrid will.

I read in magazine that kawi’s 450 and suzuki’s 450 are more mellow engines. That doesn’t mean they don’t have as much power, there just easier to ride. Keep in mind, both kawi and suzuki both have 4 speed transmissions in there 450 dirt bikes. The ltr450 has a 5 speed which means there was a reason to add the 5 speed transmission for the quad.

I have the magazine in my room and I will look for the horsepower numbers later today.

I rode my cousins rmz450 once, it was one hell of a ride. I do belive the crf he had before had a little more snap to it.

I would also go with a honda motor. My friend just put a 450r in his 400ex after his motor blew apart. It fit really nice and it fly's.

Me, I would be different and go with the Kawi motor. But the Honda would make the most sense. You'll get a motor for a better price and there is already motor mounts out there you can use.
