Tell which ones you like better and say why you like them better.

Thats like comparing apples to oranges. TCS are built for your weight and specifications. Elkas they take off a shelf and put an elka sticker on the side. TCS all the way . They are VERY underrated , however are getting more well known everyday.

I have rode both elka and tcs and now have a full set of TCS ( front and rear ) on my mx250r ;)

Honestly , I dont understand how people can pick elka over any shock that is built for them and to their specifications. Its a world of difference.

Elkas are built for your type of riding and weight. People just bag on them alot because sometimes the vavling is alittle bit off. I personally love my elkas and would never change, but I've never ran TCS.

Call both companies and talk to them and find out pricing. They're both going to be a hands down good shock.

I KNOW for a fact that Elka builds a great shock and has EXCELLENT customer service. I have also heard good things about TCS. Sometimes customer service outweighs other things. I would just talk to some people who HAVE ran both. They can tell you more facts about them. I have not ran TCS, but would like to try them.

I have run both........I had Elka Triple rate SSD's with piggybacks (front and rear) on my 440ex.........I now have TCS Triple rate zero-preload with remote rezzies on my 450 - and my rear shock is actually just a stock rear rebuild - but it is awesome!

I prefer my TCS to the Elka's HANDS DOWN. Both were custom ordered by me....for my weight and riding style (no Ebay crap here!) so I can definately compare them fairly......

I also had a friend ride my quad over the weekend....who has Custom Axis all around......he loves my suspension - says it's way better than his.....so.....you can take that for what it's worth, too.

I just wanted to post, because I actually HAVE owned both brands for once! LOL!!

TCS gets an A+ for customer service too!!! Best I've dealt with so far!

does TCS rebuild other aftermarket suspension?

I just recently got my Elka's and I think they're great so far. For anyone who thinks otherwise, Elka's ARE custom built for your weight, riding style, tire size, a-arm length, etc. For every person who doesn't like Elka for whatever reason, there are probably ten others with only positive comments. I will say that I have heard good things about TCS, but have no personal experience with them.

I have owned both shocks as well. Straight from the dealer, My TCS were spot on and the better shock hands down. My elkas were off on the valving. So I sent the Elkas to JH Racing and he redid them and it made a world of difference, and now the Elkas perform better than the TCS's did. But even though my elkas perform a little better, the TCS's were smoother.

I have used both and I have yet to ride a set of Elkas that work as well as TCS unless the Elkas were redone by TCS.

I ride on TCS up front and AXIS on the rear. Have had all of them. I think the ELKA is a cheap made shock. I have put them side by side in my shop, and there is no comparison in quality. If you are a sponsored ride, then ELKA's are great. They don't have to last long, and they are free. If it is my money that I have to spend, it will be TCS, Custom AXIS, or PEP!!!

All of it. The piston and valving is not near the quality. And if you look at their body construction, you can see it as well. I have some of both in my shop right now, and if I can get time, I will take a couple of comparison pictures for you.

I'm not questioning you, I have put some serious thought about having TCS redo my shocks, they are LT Elkas.
