white smoke is moisture burning, Blue (can look white, very light blue) is oil burning, and black is excess fuel that is not burned.

what type of quad is it? if it is not liquid cooled, i would say it is actually oil smoke and is caused by your valve seals.

Yea mine does the samething sometimes. when i'm on the gas real hard after my quad has warmed up all the way. it will puff out oil burning smoke when i let off the gas, or decelaration. whatever you wanna call it. are the valve guides the samething as the valve seals?

Yeah, It has a lot to do with it. You need to adjust them. If you are new to 4 strokes, you will find out quick that you need to keep the valve lash adjusted to specs.
