Do you see any problems using this in a quad (specifically z400)?

i heard that stuff was a killer to gm products.head gaskets.also coolant would prematureally break down and turn to mud.i would just buy some engine ice or go to your local honda dealer and see what they have first.....

Don't use car anti-freeze in a quad or motorcycle.

I run dex-cool! I have ran it for a while now. I have not had any problems with it. I have heard about it turning to mud in cars but I am not going 100000 miles before I change my coolant. I mix it 50/50 with distilled water.

i also heard that it eats cyclinder walls and internal motor parts as well.a quad motor gets just as warm as a car motor, and liguids still can breakdown.i wouldn't want to take that risk.thats only my opinion ...

Well, I can only say that I have not had any issues using dex-cool. A quad motor does get as warm as a car motor but most quad motors don't go 30,000 miles before changing coolant. Also, minerals in water do a lot of damage in the coolant passages. A lot of people don't use distiller water in their coolant system.
