retuning stock 450 r susp.

hey,
i was wondering wat would be the best move for tuning my 06 450r suspension. iam racing hairscramble this summer and stock suspension is really stiff. i was wondering what kit or company i should tune my 450 r suspension wiht.

try C@D, Derisi, and GT Thunder. They all do good work.

You can get spring conversions from Works and you can do it yourself. You will get softer springs for sure, but you won't get the expert tuning you will get from gt thunder, derisi, etc. Depends how much you want to spend and how good your suspension really needs to be.

i know on my stock 04
i turned the rear rebound full H clockwise and that slowed the rebound (the rebound is way to fast for XC) then turned the compression to almost full S counter clockwise.
and with the front rebound all most full H clockwise and the compression allmost full S counter clock wise.
and took most of the preload out of both and it made a huge difference.
I know its not as good as after marked or a stock rebuild but it was free!!! and helped me learn how to adjust shocks!!

play around with it you will be amazed how much the adjustments work.
