Which one do ya think i should use in my 300ex, and from what i've found out by searching, you can use this in a wet clutch 4-stroke engine, and it works great. If i knew this i would of just used my rotella i run in my 6.5L turbo chevy diesel.

The 5w40 is synthetic....the 15w40 is dino

i am almost positive that the synthetic does not have friction modifiers. i actually use the dino to break my quads in with when i replace the pistons. i would try the synthetic myself. i run a 100% synthetic in my engine and clutch side in my 450r.

Would the 5w-40w work alright in oklahoma summer temps, or should i just stick to H4 20w-50w in the summer months?

the thicker oil probably wouldn't hurt in the summer months. i can't guarantee anything. if you are going to run the thinner weights then i would run synthetic for sure if it was me.

Any other reasons i should or shoudn't run rotella t 5w-40w? I was looking at a site that is about oil 101, and it clearly said rotella t has soot and shearing protection, and that diesel engine oils are perfect for the shearing of the clutch etc. in a wet clutch 4 stroke engine.

Is the dino better then the syenthtic for my quad.

no, synthetic is better.

i use dino because i have A LOT of diesel oil laying around...it's cheap.... it works..... and keeps temps down because it's a higher weight (15W40)

there's no arguing that synthetics are better in every aspect. 'cept this stuff is really pretty good.

in the broad spectrum of things..... when changed frequently and nothing is going wrong.... it doesn't really matter.

yes, synthetic oils are better. they can make clutches act up if they are on the verge of going out. however, i will always run a full synthetic in my bike. i use dino for breaking the bike in and after that the synthetic goes in.

I think i'm just goin to stick to what i have always done. gn4 10w-40w in the cooler months, and gn4 20w-50w in the summer months. I've never had any problems.
