Ford Focus coupes are pretty nice, fairly cheap. My neighbor has an SVT (a little expensive) and that thing hauls some *** for the little motor that's in it.

what ever floats your boat. I like it and it would beat my 5.4L f-150 without a problem.

i always wanted a trans am, now that i have a good job i can buy one. too bad the insurance is too much!

i think a nice affordable car is a wrx, cheap insurance cuz its 4 door and awd 4 cyclinder, but its about 230 hp turbo.

its nice cuz its affordable yet fun and quick

05-21-2006, 07:14 PM
i like the Acura RSX type S

210hp 6 speed and Bose system

best part is they are around 18-22k

check the new dodge challenger its a sweet retro with some serious giddy up.
the wrx hauls and will still be considered sports car for insurance purposes.
the new mustang gt's really float my boat also.

The Mitsubishi 3000gt Vr-4 is a good car:

All wheel drive
Twin turbo

The Nissan 300zx TT competes with it as well:

My vote would be for any subaru. Those are nice cars. I'm hoping to pick up a WRX before I go off to college in october. The mitsubiti gt3000, which is the same thing as the dodge stealth are nice cars. One of my friends has a rear wheel drive naturaly asparated stealth and its a nice car. I would deffinatly pick one up if I had the chance.

a 3000 gt and a 300zx will cost more than a camaro/trans am and will have just as high insurance rates since they r TT

oh yeah....it runs great, fast as hell.It has mad torque steer 1st-3rd gears when ya punch it though,I've learned to get used to it.Throw a CAI on it and a blow off valve and it is amazing how loud the stock turbo is.

Those are my 2 favorite cars. My dad had an older 300zx T back when they made them only 1 turbo. So I wanted to always have the 300zxTT because I think they look sweet.

I also 99.9% sure that the Dodge Stealth, Nissan 300zx TT, and the mitsu 3000gt all have the same engine just minor changes.

05-22-2006, 05:37 AM
I doubt you could go over a basball with it without a nice ding in the fender. Im not talking one of the ones they use for the pros, one of the bigger white ones, dono though jmo.

I guess you could get the base model versions (no turbos/awd), if the rates are a problem. Just one thing to think of, when driving the 3000gt without AWD, they pull to the left terribly if your on the gas. This is with a stock car though.

Are you looking for a sports car or a sporty car because a dodge neon and a mazda 6 are not sports cars, don't get me wrong they are fast in there class but calling them sports cars is just wrong. Look into lotus if your looking for a cheaper sports car. The Lotus Esprit (pronounced Espree)are a twin turbo V8 and you can usually get a mid 90's model between 22-30k with around 50k miles. They also make a little four banger car (the elise) that can spank a mustang saleen in a 1/4 mile drag race even though it only puts out 200hp. Lotus cars are reasonable used but new the esprit is some where around 90k to +100k and the elise is 60k I think.

As far as other affordable sports cars you could look into used toyota MR2's, used vettes, camaros, mustangs, supras, and some of the others already mentioned.

MK4 GTI or Jetta 1.8T. With a chip, APR or GIAC, that will be 3" you will be fine. I loved my Jetta's. 79 Beetle, 92 Jetta GL 8v, 2001 Jetta GLS 2.0, 2001 Jetta GLS 1.8T. Highly recomend the VW's.

I recently purchased a '95 Nissan 300ZX and I LOVE IT!!!! It outhandles a camaro and mustang barnone! My two options for sports cars for reasonably priced would be the Nissan 300ZX or a Toyota Supra. Like stated above putting Focuses and Dodge Neon's in a sports car class is not even feasible!!!:huh

Yeah Supras are great. Ive been looking for one but cant seem to find a standard tranny for under $20,000. Awesome cars though, drove an auto and loved it.

I think Mustangs are pretty cheap for how badass they are, I mean 30,000 for a sweet car. I have a black 2002 Dodge Stratus 2 door with tented windows and bought it brand new for 30,000 with all stuff

i would look for japanese cars, they hold up alot better. if you want cheep go used. if you must buy american, get a mustang, you can pick-up used mustangs pretty cheap. don't get me wrong i like camaro's too but they tend to be a little more money.

Yes the 300zx runs off of Jdm VG30DE type engines.
While the 3000gts/stealths run off of Jdm 6G74 or 6G72DE type engines.
