I have a $hit load of music on a 100G hard drive that I listen to when I'm on the computer but I want to burn some CD's to play in my truck. I have a high end 8V Eclipse cd player but everytime I burn something it won't play. It plays on the computer, but not my truck.

The music on the hard drive are mainly mp3 and M4A files. Can I change the properties so my truck player can read them?

Your cd player must not play mp3's. Make sure that your burner converts them to audio file format and not a data disc. I have just used Windows Media Player and just click make audio CD.

make sure your not making a cd of MP3's cause your cd player in your truck prolly can't read it.

second...if you are making audio cds...make sure your cd player will read cd-r's. some older and cheaper modles won't read the cds that you can burn stuff onto.

Same thing happened with my new truck. Just picked up a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and found out it doesn't play burned CD's.

Picked me up a new Pioneer head unit for 260$ and I must say it was worth every penny.. :p
