i live in town so bear with me. I run it up to temperature and redline it for five seconds. I pull the plug and it has a black film on it when i wipe it off with a paper towel. too rich?

i went to a 150. i bought some new plugs today so i will be able to get a more accurate reading on the plug

Id say if u have the lid on, try a 146. Thats what the instruction book said with my kit. I ran that in mine when i used to have a lid and it ran perfect.

well if you had a white tip. that is not good. white=lean. black=rich. you want a nice tan color. you say you redline it for five seconds. you could get all the black from pinning it and dumping all that fuel. put a fresh plug in it. take it out a ride it how you ride it for a few. maybe 15 min. did it feel like it is starving for fuel or did it run good or did it bog out. most likely with a 150 you are close. when it runs good and doesnt back fire. check the plug again. if its tan its good. did you change a pilot jet. and or needle.

it stumbled at the bottom of second and first a bit but other than that it ran great. going down a hill it would pop and bang a bit while the engine was holding it back a bit. i installed everything in the dynojet kit and i also changed the pilot to a 42 which didn't help the cold starting a bit
