today some people said when i was jumping my quad in the air when i let off the throttle there was a puff of blue smoke repeatedly i stopped to talk to them and after that it never happened again.... is it anything to worry about? i just got a new piston 1 month ago..... and could the hotcam in my 400ex make the valves tick louder cuz they are very noticable even after i adjust them?

The cam will make the valves louder. Just make sure and repeatedly check valve clearance at the spec. the cam needs.
Blue smoke frome a 4 stroke is normal but if blue smoke is come out repeatedly theirs somthing wrong

4 strokes don't puff out blue smoke normally. If a 4 stroke is smoking blue something is wrong, maybe nothing that keeps the motor from running right, but something is causing it to smoke.

Ya I think this is your problem because my quad was doing the same thing before i changed them, and just check around your heads to see if theres any oil because your quad may be burning it like mine was.

Yeah, so your bore/rings are starting to get worn. Until it get's excessive you shouldn't worry...
