Well, here she is....a brand spankin' new 426. I spent a few months going over the entire bike and re-building the motor to a 426.

Thanks guys,

The reason it looks high is due to the the dip in the driveway. And those are the tires I put on it to store it. I almost never take the paddles off.

It's a secondary oil cooler. Look at the pic right above where if I had shock rezzies....they would go. That is a little oil cooler I plumbed in.

It's a Cascade Innovations seat cover.

so there is two lines....one in and one out? what pumps the oil? is there a oil line that you tapped into there at the bottom by the clutch? just try to get where the secondary cooler gets it's oil from......

boricua,

OK...here's how it works. There is a oil passage that runs up the side of the cylinder and dumps the oil on the cam, once it passes thru the stock cooler and then the oil filter. If you take of the case side you can see the path the oil takes....both on the actual case side and the centercase. It exits above the oil filter and runs up the cylinder. So, what you do is block the hole in the center case. I used a BB and some JB Weld, put it on, let it get firm and cut it flat as not to interfere with the gasket. You tap in a 90*fitting next to the clutch cable. There is the stock oil passage there. That part gets tricky. You've already blocked the passge up the cylinder so the 90* fitting is re-routing the oil to the new cooler and the upper line dumps the cooled oil on the cam about 30* cooler.

So, the stock pump is able to pump the oil from the stock cooler, to the filter, THEN I re-routed it to the secondary cooler and finally to the head/cam. Works pretty slick.

Looks Great Glamis! How do you like it?

Are the braided lines real or covers? Is the oil system the FST set up or something else?

Thanks,

They are real AN-6 braided lines. It is based off the FST system, but I pieced everything together from Jegs.

So far, it doesn't feel any different from the 416 that was in there.

Refresh my memory... What all did you change from the 416? Besides the bore size:p Compression change?

Glamis400ex

I went to a 426 (88mm) 11.1 comp, new CRF450 cam chain, 4 new valves.

What was the 416 compression and brand? Stock size valves?

Sorry for all the q's, just trying to gather some insight from those who do specific changes;) :)

No sweat...it's all good.

It was a 87mm JE 11:1 comp and stock valves. I went with JE 88mm and another set of stock valves. After 5 1/2 years they were gone.
