Help!!!! I Can't Get My Grips Off!!!

Ny grips won't come off. they don't have grip glue on them. i wanted to take them off to put grip glue on and ithought that all i had to do was take the screw off that holds the stopper in place and slide the grip off. when i tyied to loosen the screw, the whole stopper moved and the screw wouldn't loosen. i've tried everything and i can't get it off please help!!!!

you need to hold the "stopper" with a large set vice grips or something similar and then have someone else take the screw out while your keeping the stopper from spinning. Then your still going to be lucky to get your grips off without tearing them

if you have access to an air compressor, you can blow air into the grip and it might blow it off. i cant remember how big the hole is for the stopper, if its small enough, you can plug....should work.
