hey yall just picked up an 02 400ex... just wonderin how much reliabilty I'll compromise by installing a big bore with stage 2 hot cam.. anybody have problems.. also, I ride the quad, I dont race it

depends on bore size, compression, manner of which its built.....be more specific if you can:macho

well, bore to 440, with 11:1 comp wiseco piston

it will get hotter much faster...if u i was u i would go with 416

expect to get mixed reviews. as with nearly any other engine....the heavier the mods the less reliable or maintenance hungry they tend to become. if its built correctly.....bigger studs, etc., it should last a while. bigger motor will run hotter so you'll need to address that to increase longevity. others here who have ran such a set up can give you first hand knowledge........
