250x vs 25 ex

what is the difference? i have a 250 ex and had a 250 x, what can i do to make mine quicker?

a 250x is basiclly a 300ex but an older model. same motor, plastics, everything. only difference i think is that the 250x is stroked a little more but not sure on that.

to make yours quicker, start with a UNI filter, outerwears cover for it and take off your airbox lid then rejet. cheap mod and lots of power gains. also a full exhaust will do wonders for it.

250x is kick start/ 250ex is e start.
250x is 249cc/ 250ex is 239cc.
250x is chain drive/ 250ex is shaft drive.
the motors are different also (the 250ex sits sideways)
the 250x is manual clutch/ 250ex is auto clutch.
the 250x would outrun the 250ex.
neither are super fast but they are great beginner atv's.
If you have the 250x or ex just ride it, learn how to wheelie, have some fun on it. then when you feel you need more power sell the 250 and jump to a 300 or 400ex.
