holes in air box or remove lid?

just bought a k&n what should i do? put holes in air box or remove the lid or the whole box?:confused:

Increasing the air input will require rejetting. The type of terrain
you ride in will determine if you should cut holes or remove lid.
Read my mods to see what I did, and there are alot of posts on
riders setups.

it all depends. if ur gonna be trail ridin or ridin in wet or really muddy conditions a lot, then i would cut the holes. if ur gonna be racin mx or ridin mostly dry conditions then i would remove the lid. u can still ride thru water and in some mud with the lid removed, but take it easy thru the water and clean ur filter more frequently. but removin the lid increases air flow over the holes so u should see more power this way. plus if u remove it u can always put it back on to wash ur quad.
