I'm new to quads and recently bought a 2001 400ex. My ? is regarding the stock case saver. I've read about the chains coming off and cracking cases and was wondering. Is the stock case saver any good at all? It feels so flimsy to me.

also Mine seems to run fine right now, but how hard is it to rebuild the motor when it comes to that point?

If I missed an old thread i'm sorry just point me in the right direction. I have not found a search feature yet so i'm just browsing around. Thanks in advance. ray

Welcome
up top under the Atvriders logo you will find the search feature where it says user cp,register, members, search.

the stock case saver is fuctional but an aftermarket one if thicker and looks better.

thanks I looked right over the search button.

as far as the case saver goes. As long as the stock one saves my case if the chain goes then i'm ok with it. just needs to function. the guys the have had their case get cracked did they run with no case savers on there then or what?
