Ya man thats a pretty good deal IMO... Check the frame and other stuff, just to make sure its not just the engine... But if you buy that you could put 2-3 Grand into it, and fix it up the way you want it.

don't put the loudest pipe on it..you will only piss people off and get the atv opponents to work harder to get atv's banned and ride areas closed... be a responsible rider

HMF is pretty good sounding if you ask me... It is pretty loud, but not loud enough to get you into a lot of trouble, and sounds great... Also the E-Series in my sig. Is good to.

i don't like them too loud either because i don't to make people angry, but if you want something real loud then go with a curtis sparks exhaust. they read in at 102 decibels at 2200 RPM. and around 106 to 108 wide open. they also give you alot more power.

Its pretty easy... Just take the carb off and use the owners manual and you'll be fine.

If your gonna buy that 400ex, your first purchase should be a clymers manual.
I bought the same quad, I thought all I needed to do is resleeve it, piston and rings,,, about $1200 later and finally its running.

Personally after seeing the piston install and stage II cam, cam chain and all you better make sure you know what your doing. I think the guy who worked on my engine previous knew nothing.

Which is why the piston wasn't getting enough oil and whola,, fried it. My quad is running great thanks to Steve, I wont give the entire name but anyways you really gotta be careful because it definately could nickel and dime you..
GOOD LUCK.
