Whats up fellow riders?
I am new to the Honda industry, and bought a 06 450R. I was wondering if changing the bars to a set of Renthal bars, will all the ignition plastics go back in the same place or will you have to relocate it.
Thanks ..

I used Tag Bars. And the panel fit.Be careful because MX bars might not fit the key panel.Ask when u buy them!!!

I just put a set of Pro Taper SE bars on mine. The panel just snaps on the sides, but the stock bars have a nut welded on them and a bolt goes through the panel. Without it, it moves a little, but not even enough to notice while riding. Also the box with the start button/kill switch/etc... has a plastic knob on the back of it that goes into the bars. Just cut it with a straight blade and tighten it down good and you'll be fine. Mine doesn't move and I did this. Did any of yall feel like the stock bars are to confined?

If you get 7/8" bars you'll be fine.If you get fat bars(1 1/8") look for a new place to mount your key and lights.

i just put a set of 1 1/8 bars. Im ganna get the trail tech set up with the new computer. for now I put the ignition on the loop for the wires for the handle bars. you can barly see the ignition under the hood, but you can get to it easy. Ive got the light zip tied to the clutch cable

I put my Tag T2 (1 1/8") from my EX on the 450. I just drilled a couple holes on the nose piece for the neutral and temp lights and then drilled a hole for the key on the left front side panel. They turned out nice.

True there is nowhere to bolt the Gauge/Key panel on the new bars so i drilled 4 small holes and put tie wrapps around the plastic holding it to the bars!!

I'll take some pics of it tonight after work and upload them tomorrow. It was real easy to do.
