go get yourself an "easy-out" and get it out of there.

If you are unsure about doing it, take teh quad to a machine shop. They can have it out in a jiffy and will probably charge you less then the easy out.

i did that too once, all i had to do was take the other bolt out..take the cover off, and then there was just enough sticking out that i could grab it with a pliers and turn it and thread it out...then just bought a new bolt

easy out is just a tool that will unscrew a stuck, stripped or otherwise stubborn bolt. some models require drilling a small hole and sticking another cone shaped bit with a reverse thread on it to wedge its self into the stuck bolt and unscrew out. others look like a really short drill bit. both work on the same principles.....
if you do attempt to drill out the old bolt, be careful. you need to go in very straight otherwise your hole size wont be consistant.....

You can buy an easy out set for around 30$ it's got 8 different sizes of left hand twist drills to predrill with ( the left hand won't bind and tighten the screw further) and 8 easy outs it's worth the money.

ok well iam going to try and take the side case of and see if its sticking out enough to take some pliars to it will i need ot get a new gasket to for the side case and also if i couldnt get it out then i was going to get a tape and try and get a shorter bolt and make threads since the bolt only hold the cover on or take it to my local shop i also need a new oil tank i broke the bottom of mine any one got one for sale a stock or aftermarket

Use vice grips if you have them

i remember another guy that did the same thing and asked your exact question 2 months ago on here........ i dont wanna type... so all i will say is you are not screwed and every thing will be fine and you will need no new parts for your quad besides a clutch cover gasket and new bolt of course

is it the cloutch cover gasket that has to be replaced even though the clutch is on the left side of the machine and the oil filter cover is on the right side of the machine. and what is a heli coil, does it have to be replaced for sure?
