Wut kind of oil do you guys run?

The guy that I bought mine from ran Castrol TTS, but funny thing is I can't find that anywhere around me. So I asked my buddy who knows everything about quads especially 250r's, he still has an 88 he bought new and he used to FT them and he had a race one.

He said Bel-Ray H1R is real good. He said he ran that in his race bike, he ran 32:1 and didn't have any problems but then the guy that built his motor told him to run 24:1.

Apparently Caster 927 his buddies said was good and a couple other ones too, but I don't remember the names.

So I was wondering, should I run 32:1 or 24:1. He told me to run 32:1 so I take his words to the grave on this stuff, so I'm like, "Ok".

So I get the H1R oil today and it was $25.50 for 2 quarts! On the quart label it sais 125cc and less run 32:1 and 250cc and higher run 40:1, I'll tell you right now I'm not running 40:1. So that tells me even more to stay with 32:1.

I was running 32:1 with the Castrol TTS so I'll stay with 32:1 with the Bel-Ray H1R.

I hope it Smells good!!!!! Hahahaha.

Wut oil do you guys run and wut ratio?

My guy runs 20:1 in his play ride R, stock with a pipe and he runs 20:1 with the honda oil but ran 32:1 then 24:1 H1R in his race bike.

Long thread about oil but hell I'm bored.

I run Amsoil Interceptor pre mix, simply because I'm too cheap to fork over another 15 bucks for the dominator. But I run that at 50:1. When I first started getting into 2 strokes I thought 50:1 was crazy, that it was too lean. But I could feel a real difference when I switched to the Amsoil from the honda HP 32:1.

I just had my engine rebuilt top to bottom new everything. I knew very little about 2 strokes but the guy that built it told me to run 40:1 with HP1 and it works. It works real good. I was afraid for my new engine but hey it works. I run a 265 ported and polished. Don't be skeered.
