I have a 05 450 w/ minor head work, curtis sparks pipe/ air filter kit/ & jet kit, and am running a 13.1 jp piston. The bike runs like a beast until I chop the throttle, then It will go down to idle and shut off!

Also it will not idle over 2000 rpm w/ the idle screw turned all the way up, which is obviously not right, I would think that thing should scream turned all the way up!

Has anyone here seen anything like this? Like I said, it runs like a bat out of hell under throttle, w/o even the smallest blip anywhere, the only problems are the stalling @ decell, and the idle problem

any help would be appreciated.

sounds like your pilot jet could be clogged ?

overhaul the carb, this is routine when troubleshooting this type of thing.

use compressed air, carb cleaner, and make sure everything is free in the float bowl/needle. if they stick it wont allow the rpms to go up.
