4:1 wheels on stock arms

Im going to buy some beadlocks for my xc bike and i was wondering if 4:1 rims work good with stock suspension (no ill handling effects?). Because for next year ill be getting new arms and shocks but for now im just getting my shocks done by GT thunder so i want to use the same beadlocks. Thanks

I have been running 4:1 for XC with stock a-arms/Elka shocks for 2 years. I will eventually go to + 1/2 a-arms. Works good - you give up a little width but handles better than the stock rims. I have run both Douglas and Hipers. Either work but I am liking the Hipers.

I ran 4:1 offset fronts on my stock arms and it definately handled better even though it was slightly narrower.
