Yoshimura RS3 or HMF Sport?

I've got a 2000 400ex and don't know which to get, Yoshimura RS3 or HMF Sport?? I'll be doing a slipon for now with a quiet core insert for which ever one I get. Will probably add on an FMF power bomb header later.

So, which one do you guys like for the 400ex? Low end is worth more to me than the top end.

I got the HMF for my 05 ,but i got the full system very happy with it . if you get just a slip on (this is with the hmf) later when you add the header you will have to send slip on back to get bigger pipe in it because of the larger diameter header pipe. as far as the power the hmf increased my power throughout the whole range but mainly low and mid

I probably wouldn't get the HMF header for it. I'd like to get the FMF powerbomb for it later on...so I'd have to check the outlet vs. inlet specs then.

I should be ok when I do it since the powerbomb will mate up to a stock can and the HMF will mate up to a stock header.

the powerbomb is'nt a larger diameter than a stock header?

I don't think it is where it meets the exhaust can. But, like I said, I'll have to look into the specs of it when I go to buy it later on.

i just installed a yosh rs-3 complete system on my 05' 400ex this weekend. it'll be in the sand all day tomorrow. It sounds good right out of the box (still need to re-jet). doesn't sound nearly as loud as my buddies hmf though. we've got exact same bikes with same mods except for brands of pipes. we'll be draggin' all day tomorrow. i'll post who hits more hole shots..

I would go with the Yoshimura. I have a full system on my 2003 400ex and it works great.
