anyone ever put a 250x into a 400ex frame?

I still have my 400ex frame& swinger left from my partout, And might get a 250x with a cracked and bent frame. I was thinking of a swap, or should i fix the frame?

I dunno if i was use such a restricted motor on a high performance frame. BUT i do know that i have the perfect 250x chassis that i will trade for your 400 frame so u dont have to mess with that ole cracked and bent frame. :D

I've seen a 300ex in a 400 frame. There is really not that much difference in weight. It can pull that 400 frame around. I say go for it.

why... im sure you could pull it off, but who wants to ride a 250 ex... let alone a jerry rigged one...

if anything sell the 250x motor and get a 350x motor, it nearly has the same power as a 400ex, atleast get something that has similar power.

i would do it. I hate seeing my 300ex get out handled bacause anther quad has better suspension. With a 250x motor in a 400ex frame with nice shocks or even stock, would probaly make a huge difference in outrunning the blasters.

I am thinking about the project, Because i want a slow trail bike(just to beat around in the woods). I had a full mx 400, but now i have a baby on the way. Thats why i parted it out. I figured with a 250x motor, I wouldnt do crazy things like i did with the 400. Its was just a sugestion for a budget project. Back in the day the big thing was a 250rx. I just want to know if they make motor mounts, or if it will have to be coustom fabed. Thanks for the replys guys
