I just got an 05 450r and i need to know which exhaust you guys think is the best. Also, what are some other mods that you highly recomend that arent that expensive: price, where can i get them, etc. THANKS

i love my big gun it has great low end power and sounds good untill you put the quiet core in then it sounds like crap i also heard that hmfs are good but i love the big gun and cant beat it for a slip on

really depends on if you want full or slip on.... yoshi's r always nice but for a full i would have to lean toward rossier

05-16-2006, 07:30 PM
i wouldnt get a slipon. some people o nthis site will rag on you for that

if you have a stock engine and plan on keeping it that way then just get a slipon. if you mod your engine then get a full. ive had the HMF slipon before and the DrD is A LOT better

definitely the Sparks if u want a full system, and the slip-on would be a HMF and the HMF's are very reasonable price.

I have had a HMF Carbon fiber ballance series , yoshi trs & currently a rossier. All sounded/looked great and had awesome performance gains. I would buy either 3 again. If i had to pick a winner it would have to be the rossier cause i think it looks/sounds the best. Here is a pic of all 3.........

is that the rossier long can ? I heard they only make the short version now.
I wish rossier would make a slip-on, I dont think for the money that the others header pipe is worth $400 more than the hrc and
a slip-on.

Your sponsored by White Brothers but you recomend Sparks??

Anyways I have a Rossier on my 06 and it is great. Real nice sound, the fit was good, and it made awesome power on the dyno and "seat of the pants."

Im pretty sure that they no longer make a long or short version anymore. I think it's kinda in the middle like mine. I got a good deal from Pappy , shoot him a PM & im sure he will hook ya up. :D

I'll say this over and over again. It's all a matter of opinion. People will always be bias to what pipe they have on their quad. Any aftermarket pipe, 9 times out of 10, will be an improvement over stock. It all depends on how deep your pockets are, how loud you want it to be, what type of riding you plan on doing, spark arrestor capabilities, etc. Just go with your gut, oh and by the way I run a Sparks. ;)

Rossier.. 99DB all day long... Produces great HP and sounds good and is not loud.... $400-450 bucks it is a deal..

i want it to be loyud but not blow out your eardrum loud, i am planning on doing a little mx, but mostly trails

05-17-2006, 05:25 PM
well.. if you want loud that is the White Bros. E-series, or Yoshimura Pro Series TRC full system.. but my freinds have "blow out your ear drum loud"... one has a TC on his modded KFX400... and my other freind has a Nmotion on his KFX400 as well..

for a full system, i'd go with the new ironman HMF. $500 something for a full system as opposed to $800 something for the white bros carbon pro.

haha. thats what i was thinking. i run a white brothers mx4 slipon and a hrc header. sounds great and runs great. but if u run trails dont get it because it dosent have a spark arrester.

Cant go wrong with DASA, Sparks BC, Rossier. In that order as well.

DASA for 2 reasons, one they are a site sponsor, and 2, it makes the most power.

Sparks BC is a bad mofo when it comes to bottom and mid.

Rossier lacks the bottom but makes up for it with its nice torque curves.

I just rode my 06 with a sparks bc full system and this thing pulls more than you could ever want!!!!THis pipe added so much throttle respones and torques its scary. Believe me.

GIXXER1KR,

Did that Yoshi RS-7 just bolt-on to the HRC header pipe ? I have an 06 as well and was looking at the RS-7 for a slip-on.

How does the FMF 4 stand up. I was thinking of going in that direction.

Nick110, yes i am sponsored by WB for my 400ex, and if the topic of which exhaust do you like most came up in the 400ex forum i would tell the person to go for a WB because i have experience with the pipe for that bike and I love it. I dont have a WB pipe on my 450r because I AM NOT ALLOWED TO USE THEIR PRODUCTS FOR BIKES OTHER THAN THE BIKE I APPLIED THE SPONSORSHIP FOR. And yes I run a sparks pipe on my 06 450r, and now if WB sponsored me for every bike i have then i would deffinately go with a WB for my 06. I am priviliged enough to have WB support me, but in no means would i go against there rules, so before posting and making a big deal of it, make sure you know the rules of being sponsored.
