This year marked Round 5 at the Clay Peak Mx Park (claypeakmx.com) in Payette Idaho.

Each year there seems to be more and more interest in mini atv racing, and Clay Peak round was no different!! We had a SUPER mini turnout in all classes
13- 71-90cc class modified
8- 71-90cc stock
5- 91-open cc

7- 12-15 yr. open Atv
5- 12-15 mod. Atv

5- 51-70cc open
10- 50cc 4-6yr old
2- 7-8 yr 50cc stock
8- 51-70cc Mod.
3- 70cc stock

Now THATs a great mini turnout!! The nice thing about WORCS series is there is a class for EVERYONE...

I got a chance to snap some shots the minis and pass out a few Atvriders stickers to some of the kids and check out some of the Trick minis.

This had to be my Favorite. I noticed this was a Robbs Racing mini. Very trick !

Kelseys practice was short lived as she experienced some electrical problems after 2.5 laps . There was a few minis riders with the same issues this wk end .She was unable to race the moring race Sat, but resumed the sport class and Team race on Sunday. This was some tough luck as she had very much anticipated racing 3 races .

The shifters flat out HAUL on and when wide open can hit some enormous speeds on the straight aways
this is a High speed track so gearing is essential.

The class was in for a little surprise...
At the bottom of the downhill sweeper, a hole of mud formed while watering and caught the riders all by surprise.
Flaggers main concerns was helping unblock the track and getting the minis out of the way so they were not in slowing down the Ladies race, not to say the Ladies didnt have a few hang ups in it too!!There was some Carnage on this section, a few minis rolled and one DNF'd but Im happy to report all the kids were not seriously injured and the mud subsided little by little threwout the rest of the race .
Offroad racing... you NEVER know whats in store!!

Kelsey Lugan also had a few obstacles in the trails and found out after the race ,she rolled her mini and was pinned under it but managed to get it off her and back up in running in what seemed to her about a minute.
She gained a poisiton to 2nd place for short time before her wreck passing Cole Fite at the very top of the uphill sweeper.
