I recently installed HDs all the way around. I was stopped and standing behind the quad when I noticed one of the rear tires has a bulge in it right along the seam between two tread blocks. It's about and 1 1/2 inches in diameter and about 1/4 inch high. Blown belt? Overinflated on install maybe? Or just abuse? These tires don't have many hours yet but have seen some laps around the track and a bit of air time with a few hard landings. Warranty maybe???

Took some pics but they don't really show the bulge well.

Is that a bulge in your tire or are you just happy to see me:blah:

I'd talk to Holeshot maybe you have something defective going on there

i just got the original holeshots and my right tire is caved in:rolleyes: I also got Burgard beadlocks and I have a air leak in that tire, causing that cave in. I honeslty dont know how to fix that. But for your situation i would post pics and then call ITP directly, they are very helpful.

It might be a bulge like when basketballs get those bulges. Something might be wrong with the rubber. post some pictures.

the same thing happened to me. the tire was ripping apart from the bead on the inside. called ITP and told them what was goin on and they sent me two new ones. would have rather got money back, but ohh well.

Looks like a broke belt. I have seen it in car tires but never an atv tire

Yeah thats a broke belt, I'd give them a call and try to get that replaced for free.
That should never happen, esp to a tire that new.

I talked to ITP this afternoon and they said it isn't a popped belt since none of their tires have belt construction. They told me to take it to my local dealer and have them deal with their local distributor who should replace the tire.

Then I called the shop and the service guy says well what did you hit? Then it was "you must have cased out on a landing". Eventually he agreed to at least look at it but I'm not settling for anything less than new for the price I paid them for the set.

Anyways, I thought these were HDs??? I never blew up the stock tires after beating on them real hard. This has to just be a defect or improper install.

It is a defect.I have had 2 holeshots do the same thing. One of them was brand new and looked like that before it ever touched the ground :ermm:
