88-89 clutch upgrade

My 87 needed a new clutch found one with all the 89 parts except for the clutch rod. Wondering if you could reuse the 87 clutch pusher rod with the 89 components.

according to the schematic/parts (http://www.servicehonda.com/hard%20parts/atv/trx250r%2086-89/trx250r%20frames%20page.htm) the 86 push rod is the same as the 89. 87 and 88 wont work. also.... fyi, the 85 and 86 atc will work aswell. hope this helps.

You got it. I do belive the 87/88 rods are longer than the other ones, and about 50 dollars more.
