Axle splines

has anyone on here ever had their axle nut come loose and the disc hub get some freeplay from it or is it normal for the disc hub to have some free play?

if your axel nut is tight i dont think your suppostto have any free play. my 450 is as tight as a nuns ****

mine has some slop in it too. not sure if its noraml or not.

tighten it a bit more if it has slop

I always take a giant pipe wrench with me whenever I go to the dunes so if my nut comes loose i can tighten it in between rides.

i carry a socket that fits it to the races, it doesnt come loose it just wiggles a little bit.

im not sure if we are talking about the same axle nut cuz one is like 56 mm and i searched for ever and there are no 56 mm sockets or wrenches

ooo crap im talkin about the splines for the spindles. oops! well i jus loc-tite my axle nut and it dont move.

they always come loose. tighten it as much as huminly possible, then some. then put electrical tape around the whole thing. that will hold it.

on my old trx500 the axel threads striped out and the nut came off and wile i was riding the tire fell off :p

i am not talking about the hub nut i am talking about the axle nut with reverse threads

o ok sorry yea mine comes loose all the time and i just get a big adj. wrench and tighten it
