How do I remove the axle bearings on a 400ex? I already have the axle out, I need to get the bearings out so I can ship them to powdercoat.

400ex 2004 is the quad.

Take out the seals, place the carrier in the oven for a few so it heats up the aluminum, take the carrier out (using gloves) then place one end on a board or something and either just hit the carrier on the board till the bearings fall out or tap the opposite end with a mallet (not a hammer). The bearings should just fall out..Also before install of the new bearing put the bearings in the freezer and they will go in alot easier. Hope this helps

I found a really easy way to take apart the swingarm and axle! I just took it to the powersports shop, paid em 36 bucks and they dismantled my whole swingarm, axle.. everything. Once I get it back from powdercoat Im taking it to them for new bearings and putting it back together. I think its money well spent!
