I have a stock 300 & 400EX after I put K&N's on each of them the engine seemed to get much hotter, do I need to rejet. If so the mains or pilots or both? I am near sea level and 70-80 temps.
Running lean will run hotter, this will burn your motor if not careful. Depending on if you did anything with your airbox lid, I
would try a 155 main on the 400 with lid on, or 165 main with off, or have holes in lid. Not sure on 300 sizes.

johntammi are you talking stock jets? 155 seems a little fat for just a filter change? Look at all my mods and I run a 155. For just a filter I would go up two jet sizes.

better rich than sorry;)
yeah, those are factory sizes on 155 main. H e said he could notice it getting alot hotter, so I wanted to richen him up good.
He would have to check it out with different sizes and do plug checks to get it on.
