Right now I am working on savings some pennies for a big bore motor? right now I am leaning towards sending it to esr to do all the motor work. I am going to get the clutch in perfect condition myself but I dont want to screw up in the bottom end. I think I am going to get the 330 or 350 pv. who can build the best motor for a okay price that includes pipe carb and reeds to match the jug. I kinda know the price it will run but just curious about how much it cost other people to do it. any advice is appreciated.

I would get a Pro-X non ported 350PV cylinder and send the cylinder and your entire lower end to C-Leigh Racing. Neil knows his **** and I guarantee it will run better than any LRD or ESR porting!!!

So sounds like c-leigh racing is pretty good? Pm me his number and e-mail. another question do you do you think I should go with the 330 or 350 pv or non pv? does the non pv big bore have a more of a low end than the stock cylinder?

Neil has two motors of mine right now and although he is not finished with either of them, I can say from speaking with him that he seems to really know his stuff when it comes to motor work and he is easy to get ahold of also...I will let you know more when I get my motors back....

252-459-9320, never met anyone who had anything bad to say about him. you should be able to get your cylinder directly from him too.

Whether you send your motor to Neil, LRD, ESR, or whomever, be prepared to spend some money in the bottom end.

The labor costs will run a couple hundred alone, but be ready to throw another several hundred replacing worn parts. The shift forks are a common problem, as well as second gear, the clutch basket, and other goodies. You don't want to throw a 350 on top of a tired, worn-out bottom end.

It's not unheard of to spend over a thousand dollars in the bottom end just getting it ready to handle the increase in power. That money isn't buying performance, it's buying longevity and reliability.

ya when I do it i'm going to replace any questionable parts because i want reliability. im going to give neil a call and figure out a plan. thanx for all of your input. if you guys have any suggestions/opinions on getting a big bore i'd love know.

my buddy got his motor back from neil yesterday, deffently top notch quality. he gets an A++++ on customer service, and product quality. i cant say anything about the performace yet, but this momorial day will be the real test. neil will deffently be getting my next bottom end i build.

after looking at my buddies motor and My ESR ported motor. you can defently tell where more quality time was spent. it was in neils porting.

im positive you will be very pleased with you motor after neil gets a hold of it.

my buddy got it it fired up on saturday, did 7 heat cycles, then babied it up and down the road. i got to ride it, but never really got to get on it.(breaking it in). it sounds solid. i guess he rode it more today but never really opened it up, he has it jetter fat and it babing it. he did say that it seems like it is going to rip hardcore. ill update you when i get back from the dunes on momorial day.
