I was looking at possibly buying a new steering stem for my LTR but i was wondering what you guys thought. im not sure whether to get a taller one or stock height, or whether or not to get it 1" forward. what are yall's thoughts on this?

i dont think there is any performance gain, just rider comfort. if your tall....have a long reach....taller stems, forward +1 could make you feel a bit more comfortable on your machine. most aftermarket ones are really strong....so.

I went +1 taller and anti-vibe on my LTR450. I also used TAG CR high bend bars. This set up will raise your totalbar height about 1/2 or so. This set up feels perfect.

you need to take that ltr throu a mud puttle or somthing. Its making me jelous.
Can someone show me a plus 1" forward stem. I keep hearing people reffer to a plus 1" forward stem and have yet to see one. I've seen a lot of 16mm forward stems which is the norm when moving it forward.

I've never heard of a set forward stem, usually the +1 or +2 refers to it being taller... I have a +2 houser on my 450r and love it. The aftermarket stems tend to be built alot stronger than the stockers as well

I know there is not a 1" forward stem. I was just bieng sarcastic because people keep mentioning 1" forward stems. My stems and several others are moved forward but 16mm only. Some are 0 forward as well but not 1".

I'll go check there site but I'm sure it is some sort of typo because I've seen a lot of Lonestar stems and they have all been 0 forward or 16mm. The Lonestar site also suggest you run 4.5 degrees negative camber also.

one of the reasons im asking about this is because im 5'6 or 5'7 and i plan on racing MX and doing some little FMX for the hell of it. im running cr high bars, and im buying a new steering stem, but im not sure whether to get +1 or what.

i have an burgard +1 anti vib stem. works great, and looks gret as well. i havent wrecked it yet (knock on wood) so i dont know how it will take it. i dont have the flex bars but im sure with the anti vib and the flex bars would be an incredible set up!!!

I would say the +1 foward would work nice on a yamaha yfz. To me it seems like stock is layed back to far.
